Jack of All Trades...Master of Luna

A while back, someone made a comment to Johnny saying, "Wow, you're the jack of all trades but the master of none!" Quite the ego boost right? Wrong. So we were out the other day and Johnny kept saying this about himself and talking about how he wants to become the master of something. First off, it is important to mention that Johnny has an incredible gift of being able to do just about everything he tries well--he wasn't necessarily discrediting that, but just wants to push himself even more.

Another to note about Johnny: He hates when someone comforts with something like, "Oh, everything will be alright!" or "Don't worry, it will all work out." He likes encouragement with basis and reason behind it. How do you garuntee to your husband that he will become the master or something? This is kind of how that might go:

Me: "Oh hunny...no worries, you're going to become the best at the next thing you try!"
Johnny: "How do you know that?"
Me: "Well...you see...I don't."

Obviously that wasn't going to be a good option. Well luckily, we got a puppy. Her name is Luna and she is 6 weeks old. She is blue heeler, red heeler, border collie, and australian shepherd. Yeah, I know, we're crazy, just like we were when we decided to get married after three weeks, or got married after only dating six months, we are just plain crazy. But so is she, so she fits right in.

Long story short, In order to comfort Johnny I decided to say, "It's okay! You're the jack of all trades and the master of Luna!"

  1. This dog is not cute! But Johnny is the alpha male and should easily fulfill Izzy's expectation that he is the Master of Luna. Okay -- I need a few more pics to evaluate the cuteness factor, but right now I give her a 3. (Also, you need a spell checker for your typist... love the content 'though!) Mom and Dad Coleman

  2. Hey Kids,
Forget the spell checker.....bad spelling runs rampant in this family.....your grandma can attest to that. I think Luna is adorable. Train her well, Johnny.
    Love ya lots,

  3. Ah! I did spell check it and corrected it but for some reason a few words still showed up wrong. And she is cute!
